LINNEA QUIGLEY INTERVIEW

Interview Conducted by Stuart D. Monroe

In the pantheon of horror stars, few actresses are more adored than Linnea Quigley. She’s the pint-sized badass who’s been killed more times than probably any victim in film history, but she’s also brought iconic characters to life in inimitable fashion. If Trash from Return of the Living Dead were all she ever did, she’d still be one of the biggest draws on the con circuit and the definition of the “scream queen”. Very few stars embrace and celebrate the genre the way Linnea Quigley has.

But she’s not just everybody’s favorite punk spinning about on a tombstone. Whether she’s Suzanne from Night of the Demons; Denise from Silent Night, Deadly Night; Spider in Sorority Babes in the Slimeball Bowl-O-Rama; or teaching you how to get fit spooky style in Linnea Quigley’s Horror Workout, one thing is for sure: Linnea Quigley is horror royalty. With well over 150 films under her belt, she’s the embodiment of a horror lifer and a proud member of the horror family.

During the Frightmare Collectibles Christmas Market, I was able to steal Linnea away from the masses lined up to see her for a one-on-one interview! We deep dive here into some lesser-known works while we gush over our love of the horror community and even get a little personal about my own daughter and her love of Linnea since meeting her at Texas Frightmare Weekend back in 2014. We also discuss what’s coming up and if we’ll ever get that rumored sequel to Sorority Babes.

Enjoy, folks. Horror DNA TV presents the one and only Linnea Quigley!

About The Author
Stuart D. Monroe
Staff Writer
Stuart D. Monroe is a man of many faces – father, husband, movie reviewer, published author of short horror, unsuccessful screenwriter (for now), rabid Clemson Tiger, Southern gentleman, and one hell of a model American who goes by the handle "Big Daddy Stu" or "Sir". He's also highly disturbed and wears that fact like a badge of honor. He is a lover of all things horror with a particular taste for the fare of the Italians and the British. He sometimes gets aroused watching the hardcore stuff, but doesn't bother worrying about whether he was a serial killer in a past life as worrying is for the weak. He was raised in the video stores of the '80s and '90s. The movie theater is his cathedral. He worships H.P. Lovecraft, Stephen King, and Clive Barker. When he writes, he listens obsessively to either classical music or the works of Goblin to stimulate the neural pathways. His favorite movie is Dawn of the Dead. His favorite book is IT. His favorite TV show is LOST.
