BITTER ROOT #6 VARIANT TRIBUTES MY NEIGHBOR TOTORO

Bitter Root is returning this month from Image Comics with a new arc and a new colorist, Sofie Dodgson. The publisher has revealed a variant cover for issue #6 from series artist Sanford Greene that pays tribute to the Hayao Miyazaki film My Neighbor Totoro. It probably doesn't match up to the horrors that wait for us inside, but isn't it adorable?

In Bitter Root #6, the monster-fighting Sangerye family returns for another adventure. Loved ones once thought lost forever have returned—though the bliss of this family reunion doesn’t last for long. Cullen has changed, and everyone is concerned. But they’ll need all the help they can get, as a new threat has arrived on Earth…

Bitter Root is written by David F. Walker and Chuck Brown, illustrated by Greene, and colored by Dodgson. It's set for release on February 19th, 2020. The My Neighbor Totoro cover can be purchased through Power Comics.
