BRUNNHILDE PREPARES FOR BATTLE ON ARTGERM'S KING IN BLACK: RETURN OF THE VALKYRIES #1 VARIANT
King in Black starts very soon and I cannot wait. Knull, the god of the symbiotes is heading to Earth and no one is ready for the chaos and bloodshed he's bringing. Marvel Comics has been teasing a number of tie-in comics including King in Black: Return of the Valkyries from writers Jason Aaron and Torunn Gronbekk and artist Nina Vakueva. The publisher has revealed a variant for the first issue of this mini-series from Artgerm, featuring the original Valkyrie, Brunnhilde, called upon from Valhalla to join the fight against Knull's forces.
"To match the epic, dark, horrific madness that is King in Black, we're bringing the Valkyries into uncharted territory, leading up to a battle only they can fight. This is going to be a spectacular adventure, one I can't wait for you all to read," Grønbekk told ComicBook.com. "I'm also tremendously excited to work with Nina on this book. The script is filled with weird and terrifying stuff, and she's taking it in strides -- her work is mindblowing!"
King in Black: Return of the Valkyries #1 is set for release on January 6th, 2021.
