Resident Evil 2: Collector's Edition Announced (and it looks worth biting into)
Resident Evil 2 is being remastered. We all probably know this by now, and it looks like they’re doing the classic justice. What we didn’t know until a recent announcement, however, is that the Resident Evil 2 collector’s edition looks good enough to lick(er).
As one of the most beloved games in this undead franchise, and for good reason, many are beyond excited for the newly-announced Resident Evil 2: Collector’s Edition. This collection of guaranteed nostalgia will be released on PlayStation 4 on 25 January 2019 for $199.99 and include:
- Deluxe edition of Resident Evil 2 with DLC (including outfits and weapons)
- 12” Leon Kennedy figure (in his RPD uniform)
- Collector’s artbook, showcasing the tragedy of Raccoon City
- Raccoon Police Department (RPD) renovation blueprints, showing the building's transformation from museum to police station
- A digital soundtrack with 25 songs included
- All packed into a collectable RPD item box
So far, the collector’s edition is only being released at GameStop and EB Games in the US, as announced by PlayStation themselves. There has been no news on a UK release yet, but the quality of this edition alone is promising. Will you be treating yourself?
