DARK HORSE ADAPTS PREDATOR ORIGINAL SCREENPLAY

Just as it's done for Alien and Alien 3, Dark Horse Comics is adapting the original screenplay for Predator into a comic book form in partnership with 20th Century Fox. Writer Jeremy Barlow, artist Patrick Blaine, and inker Andy Owens are working off of the 1984 screenplay from James E. Thomas and John C. Thomas.

In Predator: The Original Screenplay, a team of military specialists are on a rescue mission in the jungles of Central America. The details of the mission are classified, but the team soon uncovers a trail of lies and deceit. Something is observing them—tracking their every move. The hunt has begun!

I'm curious to see how much the original screenplay differs from the completed movie. This is a fun way to explore it and I'm eager to see what else the publisher has in store in this line. Predator: The Original Screenplay is a five-issue mini-series kicking off on June 10th, 2020.
