DC LAUNCHES FEAR STATE HORROR-THEMED EVENT THIS SUMMER

The Scarecrow has been pulling strings in the shadows since his return in Batman after the events of the Joker War. This summer, he's sending Gotham City straight to Hell in Fear State, a new horror-themed event that unifies plot threads from DC Future State and Infinite Frontier. It not only continues Dr. Jonathan Crane's vision of a fear-controlled Gotham, but also Mayor Christopher Nakano's mission to protect the city with his deal with the Magistrate. It also serves as a launching point for several new series and plotlines across all the Batman-family titles, leading into an exciting 2022. Check out the details below.

Batman #112 through #117 also tie into Fear State. These will feature variant covers by Jorge Molina which connect to form a linked image of the allies and enemies that the Dark Knight will encounter through the event.

This is pretty cool. Tynion has been planting seeds in his work on Batman since he took the title over. It's exciting to see how this will start to come together in a big way.
