GIDEON FALLS ENDS IN 80-PAGE FINALE IN DECEMBER
All good things must come to an end. That is true in life and in horror comics. Gideon Falls, one of the strangest and most terrifying comics in recent memory will wrap up its mind-bending journey with December's issue #27. It's going out with a bang though as this final chapter will clock in at a whopping 80 pages.
Written by Jeff Lemire, illustrated by Andrea Sorrentino, and colored by Dave Stewart, Gideon Falls launched in March 2018 and won the 2019 Eisner Award for best New Series. It was on my top 10 horror titles of last year too.
"We’ve been fortunate to publish a lot of great work by Jeff and his many collaborators—Descender, AD, Plutona, Royal City—but his work with Andrea on Gideon Falls is one of his most incredible storytelling accomplishments to date," said Eric Stephenson, Publisher & Chief Creative Officer at Image Comics. "It’s a true pleasure to see talent of this level complete such an amazing series, not just in the way they intended, but with their most thrilling issue yet!"
While I'm bummed that this series is ending, I cannot wait to see what the creative team has in store for us with the finale in December.
