IMAGE COMICS REVEALS VARIANT COVERS FOR THE WALKING DEAD #150

The Walking Dead is about to pass another milestone with its 150th issue, due out in January.  Image Comics / Skybound have announced some pretty awesome variant covers that will be available with the book from artists Jason Latour, Tony Moore, and Ryan Ottley.  These are in addition to the original Charlie Adlard cover and a blank sketch variant.  Robert Kirkman is writing the issue (obviously) with art by Adlard, inks by Stefano Gaudiano, tones by Cliff Rathburn, and lettering by Rus Wooton.

“It's indisputable that reaching issue 150 is a huge achievement in comics. Charlie Adlard and Team Walking Dead have been working tirelessly for over a decade to get us to this milestone and now it's time to celebrate. It's an honor to have comic book pals Jason Latour and Ryan Ottley bringing their vision to these iconic characters. Additionally, words cannot describe how excited I am to have Tony Moore, artist of the first 6 issues, returning to provide a cover for this special event,” said Kirkman.

In an age where comics barely make it into double digits, let alone triple, before being rebooted and renumbered, it's refreshing to see a title hit a momentous number like 150.  It's crazy to think that The Walking Dead has been around for over 10 years.  The Walking Dead #150 is set for release in comic stores on January 13th, 2016.  Final order cutoff is December 21st, 2015.
