Did you know Wes Craven's Scream was based on a true story? I vaguely remember hearing something about this years back, but it slipped my mind. And in all honesty, it wouldn't be all that surprising since Craven has used the news for at least one other iconic horror film he directed, A Nightmare on Elm Street. (Although Craven wrote Nightmare and Kevin Williamson wrote Scream.)

Now you can watch Lights, Camera, Murder: Scream, the documentary about the real-life case Scream was based on, on Tubi. I don't know about you, but I love these types of docs.

From FOX Alternative Entertainment, this two-hour documentary goes behind the scenes of one of America’s most beloved horror movies “Scream,” to uncover the shockingly true story of serial killer Danny Rolling.

He's the puppet master. You don't see him, but he pulls the strings that gets things done. He's the silent partner. He's black ops. If you notice his presence, it's the last thing you'll notice — because now you're dead. He's the shadow you thought you saw in that dark alleyway. You can have a conversation with him, and when you turn around to offer him a cup of coffee, he's already gone.
