James Levine and Extreme Music, the production music arm of Sony/ATV Music Publshing, announced Gore & Audio, a horror-themed music catalog.
From the press release:
Gore & Audio capitalizes on the television and movie industry's neo-horror gold rush and delivers an unprecedented production music series of deeply disturbing spine-chilling sounds.
In order to capture the heart-stopping sound of darkness, Levine has inducted a cult of horror composers possessed with the very darkest of souls whose credits include: American Horror Story, Death Valley, Nip Tuck, Hannibal, The Ring, The Ring 2, Hansel and Gretel, Witch Hunters, The Fourth Kind, Season of the Witch, Disturbia, Beneath The Darkness, Secret Window and Fear: Outlander.
"With the success of Law & Audio I saw an obvious void for narrative driven modern production music created by composers who live in the worlds they score — content creators hear the difference," said founder Levine. "Gore & Audio was a natural evolution for us and targets the horror genre with a relevant, contemporary and, most importantly, unique voice."
"As always, Jimmy comes up with another totally original and authentic offering," said Russell Emanuel, CEO/President Extreme Music. "Gore & Audio is so packed with evil it takes fear to a whole new level; you'd better be wearing brown pants when you listen to this stuff!"
The first four release in the series: Torture & Terror, Ghosts & Lost Souls, Madness & Psychosis and Nightmares & Torment are available for licensing exclusively at Extreme Music.
You can currently stream these albums over at Extreme Music, so head on over and check it out for yourself.
