LIVING WITH CHUCKY TRAILER AND STILLS
Starting April 4th, 2023, Living With Chucky will be streaming exclusively on SCREAMBOX. It will also be available the same day on VOD via Cinedigm and Bloody Disgusting before making its Blu-ray premiere on April 18th.
I have to say, it's been a pretty fantastic time for horror fans and documentaries these past few years. We've had stellar choices, from the film-specific like Crystal Lake Memories: The Complete History of Friday the 13th to Never Sleep Again: The Elm Street Legacy to fascinating looks at the genre like Horror Noire: A History of Black Horror and the In Search of Darkness series and everything in between. We horror and documentary nuts have been living the dream, and Living With Chucky is a welcome entry in the list. I can't wait to see it.
After growing up within the Child’s Play franchise, director Kyra Elise Gardner (daughter of special effects artist Tony Gardner) offers a unique perspective on Chucky’s reign of terror in Living with Chucky.
Chucky creator Don Mancini and franchise alumni Brad Dourif, Jennifer Tilly, Fiona Dourif, Alex Vincent, Christine Elise, Billy Boyd, John Waters, Tony Gardner, David Kirshner, and more spill their guts along with notable fans like Marlon Wayans, Abigail Breslin, Lin Shaye, and Dan Povenmire, among others.
Storming into pop culture in 1988, the killer doll known as Chucky proved that Child’s Play was anything but. It went on to spawn six sequels, a TV series, a reboot, comic books, a video game, and extensive merchandise. Living with Chucky recounts the dedication, creativity, and sacrifice that went into making the franchise and its long-lasting impact on the horror community.
"Living with Chucky has truly been a love letter not only to the franchise but to the people who work so tirelessly to continue to bring Chucky into the homes of horror fans everywhere," says Gardner. "I hope people are able to feel just how much heart was poured into creating this film and possibly take away a newfound appreciation for their favorite franchise."
Living with Chucky joins SCREAMBOX’s growing library of unique horror content, including The Outwaters, Terrifier 2, Pennywise: The Story of IT, 13 Nights of Elvira, Re-Animator, The Slumber Party Massacre, Hell House LLC, History of the Occult, and Toxic Crusaders.
