A few months ago, I wrote about Sink, the upcoming ComixTribe book from John Lees and Alex Cormack.  It was presented with an interesting distribution model.  Fans subscribing to the newsletter would be the first to see the title come together.  They'd also get it for free right in their inbox as the book was developed.  Fans attending New York Comic Con this week will have a chance to pick up the first chapter in person from the creative team.

"Sink is a series of twisted crime tales connected by the shared location of Sinkhill, a hellish district in the underbelly of Glasgow, Scotland.  The first chapter, which we'll be premiering at New York Comic Con, tells the story of Allan, a young man who misses the last bus home, and we get to join him on the worst night of his life as he takes a wrong turn through Sinkhill, and is faced with an onslaught including murderous bus drivers, crazed gang members, masked vigilantes and a nightmare waiting in a blue van.  We'll be selling an exclusive advance edition of Sink #1 at the ComixTribe table, find us at Table 2022 on the main floor."

Everything I've seen of Sink so far (including the images included in this post) fills me with anticipation.  Lees previous works including And Then Emily Was Gone and Oxymoron: The Loveliest Nightmare are absolutely terrifying.  Sink looks to be of the same caliber if not even better.  Seriously, how creepy does that look?  You can bet I'll stopping by the ComixTribe booth this week to get my hands on Sink as soon as possible.
