SOME STRANGE DISTURBANCES RETURNS WITH A COLD WINTER'S EVE

The historical horror comics, Some Strange Disturbances is back with its next adventure, A Cold Winter's Eve. Publisher Headless Shakespeare Press has hit Kickstarter to fund the book's release. This time around Some Strange Disturbances expands with an anthology curated by Craig Hurd-McKenney, featuring work from Peter Gross, Vince Locke, Michael Conrad, Lauren Franklin, G. Romero Johnson, Keni Thomas, and Kam White, all wrapped in a cover by Tyler Smith Owings.

"We need to hear different stories now more than ever, with artists allowed to explore their creative practice in the ways they see fit to do so,” said Craig Hurd-McKenney. “A Cold Winter's Eve features work by a diverse group of BIPOC, queer, and journeyman ally talent. I love the idea of mixing upcoming voices with established industry veterans like Peter and Vince. It makes for a really special book, and allows for the reader to get to know the work of some really talented folks they may not have encountered before."

The Kickstarter campaign runs through September 30th, 2020. Rewards include digital and physical copies of the comic itself, along with the first volume, tote bags, paper dolls, and more. Some will also include donations to the LGBTQ library or resource center of your choice.
