King in Black hasn't even started yet and I already can't keep up with all the tie-ins. Marvel Comics has announced another, adding to an already expansive list for the Venom-based event kicking off in December. This time we've got King in Black: Gwenom Vs. Carnage, debuting in January from writer Seanan McGuire and artist Flaviano.

McGuire is no stranger to Gwen Stacy, having written the character's most recent series. This time around Gwen, equipped with a symbiotic suit of her own, has to defend her new home universe against one of the most dangerous symbiotes of all time: Carnage.

“I could not be feeling better or more excited right now! You can expect a lot of swinging (and kicking) high, yelling loud, and general chaos,” McGuire promises. “I've missed Gwen so much, this is really a gift.”

Can we all just acknowledge how cool of a name “Gwenom” is? King in Black: Gwenom vs. Carnage #1 features a cover by Ken Lashley. It's set for release in January 2021.
