THE CHAIR DEDICATED TO RODDY PIPER

The Chair, based on the Alterna Comics graphic novel of the same name has had a long road to the screen.  It's in the home stretch now as it is within the post-production phase, going through color correction, sound editing, and adding in the musical score.  Unfortunately, one of its stars will not see the final product.  Roddy Piper, who played the prison guard Murphy, passed away on Friday, July 31st.  The film will be dedicated to his memory.

Peter Simeti, writer of The Chair graphic novel and President / Publisher of Alterna Comics, said “I had several conversations with Roddy through the course of pre-production and production and each one was better than the last.  His persona as a WWE/WWF villain was an amazingly crafted character by a man that was anything but villainous. He was extremely close with his family and always spoke of them with such pride and love, my heart goes out to them at this time.”
