TOP COW HITS KICKSTARTER FOR THE DARKNESS HARDCOVER COLLECTION

Top Cow Productions recently used Kickstarter for a new, definitive collection of Witchblade. Now the publisher is doing it again for The Darkness, a fitting companion. These two books will look great next to each other on the shelf. Of course, you're not getting the full series in this collection. Each volume will include 25 issues. This first one features The Darkness #1-18, Tales of The Darkness #1-4 & #1/2, Darkness: Prelude #1, and Witchblade #10, #18, and #19.

"Our Witchblade 25th Anniversary Kickstarter was such a success with our fans," Top Cow founder Marc Silvestri said. "The feedback we got was are we going to do with the again but with The Darkness. The answer was a no brainer. We want to give Jackie fans something to get excited about—and celebrate 25 years of their favorite anti-hero."

"We couldn't do this without the readers," Top Cow President & COO Matt Hawkins said. "It's all apart of a giant collaboration between Top Cow, contributing Darkness storytellers, and the fans."

The Kickstarter campaign features an exclusive dustjacket and signature by Darkness co-creator Marc Silvestri, plus the first new Darkness art by Silvestri and Stjepan Sejic in seven years. Backers can choose tiers that feature a Kickstarter exclusive The Darkness #1 facsimile variant, enamel pin, t-shirt, and remark Darkness art by Silvestri. Additional rewards includes Zoom chats with Silvestri himself, either with groups of fans or one-on-one.

The Darkness Complete Collection Volume 1 Kickstarter campaign runs through Friday, August 21st, 2020. At the time of this writing, it has already doubled its funding goal. I backed this sucker pretty quick.
